Scan to ship: how a field scan becomes install-ready hardware

A walk through the seven steps that take an as-built condition on site to a certified, cleaned assembly that fits the first time.

Seven connected stages from scan to ship

Most fluid-system rework happens because the part was built to a drawing that didn’t match reality. Scan to ship fixes that at the source.

The seven steps

  1. On-site 3D scan. We capture the as-built geometry to sub-millimeter accuracy.
  2. Build print. The scan auto-generates the fabrication drawing.
  3. CNC bend. Tube and pipe are formed directly from the model, with no manual layout.
  4. Weld. TIG, orbital, or laser, matched to the joint, with every parameter recorded.
  5. NDT and X-ray. Inspection happens in-house, not weeks later at a vendor.
  6. Precision clean. Oxygen and high-purity service ready.
  7. Ship. Installed fit is guaranteed by the scan.

Why it matters

Every hand-off in a traditional job loses data and adds error. Keeping the whole process under one roof means the geometry we scanned is the geometry we bend, weld, and inspect against. That is what lets us stand behind the fit.
